We charge a planning fee for our services, which is determined by the destination, the number of days, the number of people, and your specific requirements about what you want to do and what you want our help with.
Given that these factors vary greatly for each trip we plan, it’s difficult to give you an exact figure upfront. However, for a ballpark estimate, the planning fee would be around ₹2000 – 4000 per day for international trips and ₹1000 – 2000 per day for trips within India for a group of up to 4 people. For international travellers visiting India, the fees would range from $20 – 40 per day. If there are more than four people, a fixed supplement will apply for each extra person.
To know the exact planning fee, reach out to us with your requirements or chat with us on Whatsapp.
The planning fee is on top of other travel expenses, such as flight, hotel, and activity bookings incurred on your behalf. We will take reimbursement on a cost basis for these expenses.
For more about when the fees and other payments are due, check our process page.
Find the planning fees too high?
If the planning fees seem high and out of your budget, we can assure you that you will get your money’s worth through the deals we find you and the experience we provide. In most cases, the overall cost of the trip will be lower than if you went with a traditional travel agent (whose fees are hidden in overall package costs) or if you planned the trip yourself with a similar itinerary.
We also generally offer discounts ranging from 15-30% for celebrations like honeymoons or if an existing client, friend, or family refer you. Ask us for a discount if this applies to you (or if you really want to give us a shot but can’t afford the full fee).
Why do we charge a planning fee?
We at Bonsai Journeys work hard to plan each trip to make it memorable and remarkable for our travellers. We don’t resell existing itineraries to you. This process takes time, effort, and connections we’ve built over the years. Unlike traditional agencies, we don’t prioritise commissions from hotels and suppliers and instead find the best options for our customers and pass on the cost savings to you. This is why we instead charge a planning fee.
